mobius
A personal assistant that one person runs on his own computers, for himself only.
mobius is a private, self-hosted assistant. It isn't a product or a service, and nobody else can sign up for it or use it. Its owner talks to it from his phone, and it helps him keep track of his day.
What it does with Google
With its owner's permission, mobius reads his own Gmail mailbox, read-only, so it can tell him about mail that needs his attention, find a message when he asks for one, and remind him about things he's waiting on. It can't send, delete or change mail. It never reads anyone else's mailbox.
The mail is processed by language models running on the owner's own computers, not by any outside AI service.
Privacy
The privacy policy says what mobius reads, where it keeps it, and how to cut off its access.
